Stop Launch on Stop From Opening Late in the Day

Launch on Stop reopens a trade after a stop, but a stop late in the session could hand you a brand new position with barely any time left to manage it. You can now set a No Launch After Time cutoff, and the launch is skipped entirely when it would open after that time of day.

Where to find it

Open a bot and go to Launch New Trade After Stop. Next to Launch on Stop Delay there is a new No Launch After Time control. Leave it on No cutoff and nothing changes: your bots keep launching exactly as they do today.

How the cutoff is measured

The check uses the projected launch time, not the stop time. That means the moment the stop filled plus any Launch on Stop Delay you have configured. If a stop fills at 3:28 and you have a 5 minute delay, the projected launch is 3:33, so a 3:30 cutoff skips it. A launch that lands exactly on the cutoff second still goes ahead. Times are U.S. market (Eastern) time.

Pick an hour, minute and second, or choose No cutoff to always launch.

When a launch is skipped, the bot logs the reason so you can see it was the cutoff and not a missed fill. The setting applies to live bots and is honored in Backtick, so your backtests reflect the same behavior. Set a cutoff on any bot that uses Launch on Stop and you will stop inheriting positions you did not want at the end of the day.
