Bot Comparisons Now Skip the Days Your Bot Was Off
When you compare a live bot to a Backtick, the backtest used to simulate a trade on every eligible day in the range, including the days your bot was switched off. Your live history had the gap and the backtest did not, so the two sides could never line up and the difference looked like a strategy problem.
Comparisons now account for that. The backtest side skips any day a bot was disabled for its entire entry window, so both sides of the report cover the same set of tradeable days.
What counts as a day off
A day is only left out when the bot was disabled for the whole of its entry window. If the bot was enabled for even a moment of that window, the day still counts. Time spent disabled counts whether you turned the bot off yourself or tradeSteward disabled it for you, and days before a bot existed are left out the same way, so a bot you created part-way through the range is not judged on trades it could never have taken. Bots without a timed entry window, such as webhook and Launch on Stop bots, are measured against the full 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET session.
You stay in control
The new Match enable/disable history switch sits under Trade Settings on the comparison builder and is on by default. The same option is available when you start a comparison from the Bot Performance report. Turn it off at any time to go back to simulating every eligible day in the range, regardless of each bot's history.
Open a Bot Trade vs Backtick comparison and the switch is already on. If a report looked unfairly harsh on a bot you had paused, run it again to see the corrected picture.
