Entry filters normally get re-checked on every entry attempt, so a bot blocked at 10:00 AM can still enter at 2:00 PM if conditions drift back into range. That is often what you want, but not always. The new Filter the Day setting lets a single failed entry filter end the bot's entry attempts for the rest of the day.
You will find Filter the Day inside the Entry Filters settings. It is off by default, so existing bots keep behaving exactly as they do today.
A good fit is two bots that do opposite things based on the filter. Over a few minutes, the bots both may meet their target filter conditions and both could fire. With Filter the Day on, the bot that did not meet its condition at the beginning of the entry period is blocked for the rest of the day.
Filter the Day only reacts to a filter that actually evaluated the market and failed. If market data is not available yet, a moving average or RSI cannot be calculated, or your endpoint cannot be reached, the bot tries again on its next attempt. For user-hosted filters, only a successful response with filterStatus set to false counts; a timeout, invalid JSON, or an error HTTP status is logged as an endpoint error and retried.
Overnight Gap filters still end the day's attempts whenever they fail, since the gap is set at the open and cannot change.
Open a bot that uses entry filters, scroll to Trade Conditions, and turn on Filter the Day if a failed check should mean not today. The Entry Filters guide has more detail.
