New Sloth Stop Speed and Longer Custom Stop Checks

New Sloth Stop Speed and Longer Custom Stop Checks

Bots have a new, more patient stop speed, and Custom Stop Speed now allows up to 6 minutes between stop checks. Both give a stop more room to ride out a brief spike instead of closing the trade on a passing quote.

Sloth stop speed

Sloth is the most patient preset, one step past Turtle. Once the stop target is first exceeded, it re-checks every 5 minutes and needs 2 hits out of 3 checks, so a confirmed stop fires 5 to 10 minutes after the first breach. If neither of the next two checks finds the stop still breached, the bot goes back to normal monitoring and the trade stays open.

Once a stop is confirmed, Sloth's closing order starts at 60% slippage, is canceled and replaced every 20 seconds with 15% more slippage per attempt, and falls back to a market order after 5 limit attempts. Sloth is available for both Stop Speed and Trailing Stop Speed.

Longer Custom Stop Speed checks

Check Delay After First Hit now goes up to 360 seconds (6 minutes), up from 60. The whole stop has to fit in 30 minutes: Out Of times Check Delay After First Hit, plus Replace Order After times one more than Market Order After, plus 2 minutes. The settings below (2 hits out of 4 checks, 6 minutes apart, with the order replaced every 20 seconds) fit with room to spare.

Custom Stop Speeds you saved before this change keep working as they are. The 30 minute limit applies once you change one of their timing fields. Custom Trailing Stop Speed keeps its 60 second limit between checks.

To try it, open a bot's stop settings and choose Sloth, or set a longer delay under Custom. The Trade Stop help article lists every limit.
