Your notification settings now reach your inbox. The Notification Preferences page used to govern only what happened inside tradeSteward: the emails tied to those notifications went out no matter what you chose there. The setting now covers both, so an email you would rather not receive is one you can switch off.
Thirteen notifications carry an email, including Broker Disconnected, Realtime Quote Access Issue, Broker Credentials Expiring, Buying Power Rejection, Order Rejected, Wide Spreads Detected, Bots Adjusted, trade import results, and the daily and monthly order count thresholds. Every one of them is yours to control.
Nothing changed underneath you. Anything you had already switched off is set to Email Only, so it keeps reaching you exactly the way it does today. Turning it off completely is simply a choice you can now make.
The old Silent option is now Email Only on any notification that sends one. Pick it and nothing interrupts you in the app: no alert, no popup, no count on the notification bell, and nothing recorded in the Notification Center. The email still lands in your inbox. Notifications that have no email keep the Silent label and behave exactly as they did before.
Because Off now silences the email as well, we ask first. Turning off a notification that carries an email brings up a confirmation explaining what you will stop receiving, and points you at Email Only if all you want is for the in-app alert to stop.
Open the notification bell and choose Notification Preferences to decide how each notification reaches you.
