A bot that carries no profit target of its own can still be given one on a single open trade. Until now that ad-hoc target had to be entered as a percentage, even when you were thinking in dollars. You can now enter it either way.
The profit target pencil on the trading dashboard now opens with a Percent, Closing Value, and Profit Amount toggle:
Both dollar amounts are per contract, in the same option dollars the trade was entered at, so the number of contracts never enters into it. Help text under the field spells that out with a worked example as you switch modes.
For a bot with no profit target of its own, the trading engine reads an ad-hoc target as a percentage, so a dollar amount has to be measured against the trade's entry price. tradeSteward shows you what your amount works out to, what the closing order will go in at, and waits for you to confirm it.
A negative Profit Amount works the way it always has, locking in a smaller loss on a trade that is down, and it hands off to the same profit-at-loss confirmation that measures the target against what the trade is worth right now.
One fix rode along: the pencil beside a profit target now turns red only on trades whose target you have actually edited, instead of on every open trade.
