Install tradeSteward as an App

Last updated July 17, 2026

tradeSteward installs as an app on your computer, phone, or tablet (its own icon, its own window, and a one-tap path to your dashboard), straight from the browser, with nothing to download from an app store.

What installing gets you

tradeSteward is an installable web app. Installing it adds a tradeSteward icon to your desktop, dock, or home screen that opens the site in its own clean window, signed in and pointed at the dashboard you use most. It is the same tradeSteward you use in a browser tab (same live data, same subscription, nothing separate to maintain), just faster to reach and easier to keep in view while the market is open.

  • One-tap launch straight to your Default Homepage: the Trading Dashboard or the Backtick Dashboard.
  • App shortcuts: long-press (or right-click) the installed icon for direct jumps to the Trading Dashboard, Backtick, and your Bots list.
  • Its own window, free of browser tabs and address bars, that behaves like any other app on your device.

Install it right now

Use the button below. If your browser supports one-click install, it opens the install dialog. If it doesn't, the button explains the steps for the browser you're using.

The steps for each device are below as well.

Desktop: Chrome and Edge

Two ways in, same result:

  • Address bar: look for the small install icon at the right end of the address bar while you're on tradeSteward, then confirm the dialog.
  • Account menu: open the account menu (the user icon) in the top navigation and choose Install App. You'll also find it in the Support menu. If your browser can't install in one click, the entry explains what to do instead.

Desktop Chrome and Edge show an install icon in the address bar; one click and a confirm puts tradeSteward in your dock or taskbar.

Android: Chrome

Use the Install tradeSteward button above, the Install App entry in the mobile menu, or Chrome's own menu (⋮) → Add to Home screenInstall. Any of the three adds the icon to your home screen and app drawer.

iPhone and iPad: Safari

Apple doesn't let websites offer an install button, so the steps are manual, but quick:

  • Open tradeSteward in Safari.
  • Tap the Share icon (the square with an upward arrow).
  • Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.

This installs the tradeSteward web app to your home screen. There is no separate App Store app to search for.

What launching does

The installed icon opens tradeSteward at your Default Homepage: the Trading Dashboard or the Backtick Dashboard, whichever you picked in User Preferences. If you're logged out, it takes you through Login first and then continues to your homepage automatically.

For a specific destination, skip the homepage entirely: long-press the icon on a phone, or right-click it on desktop, and jump straight to the Trading Dashboard, Backtick, or Bots.

If your connection drops

tradeSteward is a live trading app, so the installed app deliberately caches no live data. A stale quote, position, or balance presented as current would be worse than no page at all. If your device loses its connection, the app shows a branded "Your connection got stopped out" page with a Reconnect button that returns you to your dashboard as soon as you're back online.

Losing connection shows a connectivity notice, never a stale dashboard.
The offline page is a connectivity notice, not an offline mode. Quotes, positions, balances, and orders all need a live connection, and nothing in the app works offline. Your bots are unaffected either way. They run on tradeSteward's servers, not your device, so losing your connection never interrupts your automation.
