Finding Your Way Around tradeSteward

Everything in tradeSteward lives under five menus: your account menu (the user icon), Bots, Backtick, Tracking, and Support. Administrators also see an Admin Tools menu. On desktop, each of the big menus opens a full-width panel with its tools sorted into labeled groups, and a search box on the right side of the bar jumps you anywhere. Here is the tour.

The fastest way around is the search box at the right end of the navigation bar. Click the magnifying glass or press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac), start typing, and matching pages appear instantly; picking one takes you straight there. It knows synonyms too, so typing "backtest" finds Backtick pages and "p&l" finds your profit charts.

Your account menu

The user icon with your name opens your personal tools: Account Settings, the Notification Center, Manage Linked Brokers, the Privacy Mode toggle, Install App, and Sign Out. If you administer a trading group, Group Administration appears here too.

  Tip: the page you land on after login is yours to choose. Set Default Homepage in User Preferences to whichever page you open first every day, and skip a click each session.

Bots

The automation hub. The left side of the panel is live status: a Bots Dashboard link to the Trading Dashboard, your autotrading state (Bots Enabled, Bots Paused, or Bots Halted), a count of active bots and open trades, a Pause or Enable Autotrading button, and a red Close All Trades button that closes every open automated trade from anywhere in the app.

The tools are grouped by task. Manage holds View Bots, Group Shared Bots, the Bot Day Planner, Bot Activity and Webhook Activity logs, and Portfolio Net Delta. Create & Edit holds Create Bot and Edit Bot, Bulk Edit Bots, Consolidate to Multi-Entry for building Multi-Entry bots, and Import Bots. Organize covers Bot Portfolios, Account Bot Sync, and Bot Settings History, while Reference holds Bot Filter Values and Event Days and Market Holidays.

Backtick

The backtesting suite. The panel's callout link opens the Backtick Dashboard, and right below it the panel shows the date your backtest data is current through, so you always know how fresh the market data behind your runs is. Backtest holds Create Backtick, the Backtick Library, and SweepTick. Portfolio holds the Portfolio Builder, Position Library, and Sync Backtick to Bots. Compare holds Compare Backticks and the Bot Trade vs Backtick Comparison reports, and Setup holds Backtick User Settings and Commissions Profiles. New to backtesting? Start with What Is Backtick?

Tracking

Everything about how your trading is actually going lives in one place. If you are looking for the old Trades, Performance, or Strategies menus, this is where they went. Four groups:

Trades is your trade record keeping: the Account Trade Log, Open Account Positions, the Order Count Calendar, and Equity Assignments. Account is your balance and performance reporting: Balance and Profits Over Time, the Balance History Table, the Monthly Calendar Report, Account vs Market Performance, Performance Volatility, and Historical Dashboards.

Bots holds Bot Performance and Bidless Long Credit Recovery. Strategies is where you organize trades for reporting: Strategy Performance, View Strategies, Manage Tags, and Trade Recap, your day-by-day replay of what each strategy did. What Are Strategies in tradeSteward? explains the concept.

  A red badge on the Tracking menu means some trades have no strategy assigned. Assign Trades Without a Strategy shows how to clear it.

Navigating on your phone

On mobile, the menu button at the top left opens a full-screen drawer with the same structure: your account, Notifications, What's New, then Bots, Backtick, Tracking, and Support, each opening its own panel. A colored dot on the Bots row mirrors your autotrading status, and the Bots panel carries the same status readout and controls as desktop. Three quick links at the bottom of the drawer, Dashboard, View Bots, and Backtick, jump straight to the pages you visit most.

Instead of the desktop search box, the drawer has a Search Menu field at the top: type a few letters and the menu is replaced by a flat list of matching pages. And once you are inside a section panel, swiping right takes you back to the main menu, same as tapping the back chevron.

Announcements and notifications

Two icons sit at the right of the desktop navigation bar, next to search. The bullhorn lights up when something new has shipped and drops down recent What's New posts. The bell shows your unread count and drops down the Notification Center. You control how notifications behave in Notification Preferences.
