Notification Preferences
tradeSteward keeps you informed with on-screen alerts and emails, and you decide how loud or quiet each of them should be.
Open Notification Preferences from the navigation bar or from the Notification Settings section of Account Settings.
Alert display duration
Alert Display Duration controls how long toast alerts stay on screen, with separate settings for desktop and mobile. Pick anything from 1 second to 30 seconds, choose Until Dismissed to keep alerts up until you close them, or choose Never Show to suppress them entirely.
Choose how each notification appears
Below the duration settings, notifications are grouped by category, and each notification type has four display options:
- Alert: a brief, auto-dismissing notification in the corner of the screen.
- Popup: a dialog you acknowledge before continuing.
- Silent: recorded to the Notification Center with no visual interruption.
- Off: disables that notification entirely.
The categories cover the whole platform: Bot Activity (trade opened, stop order filled, profit target filled, order rejected, and other in-trade events), Broker Connection (credentials expiring, disconnections, order count thresholds), Backtesting (Backtick started, complete, or failed), Market Data, Account & Billing (payment failed, subscription expired), Data Import, and System Announcements. Each type starts with a sensible default, so most traders only tune the handful they feel strongly about, such as making Trade Opened silent while keeping Stop Order Filled as a popup.
If you want to start over, Reset All returns every notification type to its default behavior.
The Notification Center
Every notification, including silent ones, is kept in the Notification Center so you can review anything you missed. It is available from the bell area of the navigation bar.
The Center is a browsable, paginated history with its own controls:
- Filter by type with the All Types dropdown to see only one kind of notification.
- Mark All Read clears your unread count at once; each notification also has its own mark read or unread and delete actions.
- Delete Read sweeps out everything you have already seen, and Delete All empties the history entirely (both ask you to confirm).
- A Preferences button jumps straight to the settings described above.
Email notifications
Select Manage Email Preferences to control which emails you receive at Email Preferences. There are four switches:
- Bot Trading Alerts: issues with your bots that impact your trading.
- Service Alerts: outage notices, upcoming maintenance, and broker connectivity issues.
- Feature Announcements: new features and platform improvements.
- Promotional Emails: special offers and other marketing from tradeSteward.
