QuickTick Single-Position Backtests
QuickTick is the fastest way to backtest a single position: one page with the full position editor built in, auto-saving as you type, so an idea goes from hunch to queued test in a couple of minutes.
When to use QuickTick
QuickTick exists for quick tests on one position. Sketch the position, set the dates, click run. Backtick has three builders, and each covers a different job:

Find it under the Backtick menu as Create QuickTick, at /backtick/quick. Every Backtick subscriber can use it.
Build the position, or preload one
The Position card gives you two ways in. Under Use Existing Position, Add from Bot preloads the editor from one of your live bots, and Add from Backtick reuses a position from a completed run; either way the form below fills with that configuration, ready to adjust. Or skip the buttons entirely: under Create New Position, just start editing. The form is the same position editor used for bots and Backticks, seeded from your defaults, and every change saves automatically to a draft. Reset clears it back to a fresh position.
Because QuickTick tests exactly one position, a few things behave accordingly. A Multi-Entry bot cannot be tested whole: in the Add from Bot picker you drill into its entries and choose one. Add from Backtick lists only standalone positions, so family positions from Multi-Entry tests stay out of the list. And settings that reference other positions, such as dependent bots and Launch on Stop, do not apply to a single-position test.
Name it, set the test, run it
The Name and Tags card holds the Backtick name, tags, and the Mark this Backtick Saved toggle that keeps the run out of auto-purge, covered in Backtick Library. Below the position editor, the same cards every Backtick run uses set the test period and realism assumptions (Backtick Test Settings, see Backtick User Settings and Simulation Realism), the Commission Profile, and optional Notes. Then Save Draft keeps it for later, or Create & Run queues the backtest immediately.
After the run
A completed QuickTick reopens read-only, with a Backtick Results summary card up top linking to the full results page and a Backtick History card listing the run's lineage. From there, Save Changes updates the name, tags, and notes without touching the results; Copy to New starts an editable copy; and Edit & Rerun reopens the position for changes and requeues it. Reading the numbers works exactly like any other run: start with Read Your Backtick Results.
When a test outgrows QuickTick
QuickTick edits exactly one position, and it hands off gracefully when a test is bigger than that. Opening a Backtick that holds more than one position, or a Multi-Entry family test, sends you to the full Backtick editor automatically with the run intact.
