Bot Filter Values
Bot Filter Values shows the live numbers your entry filters are checking right now, so you can tell exactly why a bot did or did not enter.
When to use it
Entry filters gate a bot's entries on underlying and VIX movement, and when a filter blocks an entry it is not always obvious which number was out of bounds. Open Bot Filter Values from the Bots menu and compare the live values against the bounds you configured. The filters themselves are covered in Entry Filters: Underlying, VIX, and Custom Conditions and, setting by setting, in Bot Settings: Trade Conditions and Entry Filters.
Underlying Filter Values
Pick a symbol under Underlying Symbol and click Get Filter Values. The card then shows the quotes behind the underlying filters:
- Yesterday's Closing Quote and the Current Quote, plus the Underlying One-Day Change computed between them.
- Today's Opening Quote, the Underlying Intraday Change from that open, and the Underlying Overnight Gap from yesterday's close to the open.
For indices that publish a distinct early print, such as SPX, the card shows two boxes side by side: First Tick and 9:30:05 as Open. Each box carries its own opening quote, intraday change, and overnight gap. They match the two choices of the Opening Quote setting in the bot form's Trade Conditions section, so read the box that matches what the bot is set to use.
Volatility Index Filter Values
The second card needs no symbol selection. It shows Today's Opening VIX Quote, Yesterday's Closing VIX Quote, and the Current VIX Quote, then the three values the VIX filters evaluate: Volatility Index (VIX) Intraday Change, One-Day Change, and Overnight Gap, each as a percentage.
Reading the page
Values are only live while the market is open; outside market hours the page says markets are currently closed, and early in the session it may report that a symbol has not ticked yet. When you are diagnosing a skipped entry after the fact, pair this page with the bot's activity log, which records the reason an entry was skipped; see Monitor Bot Activity and Open Positions.
